Here's how it works:
Make sure the rise setting works for your baby.
For newborn and smaller babies, adjust the rise by snapping down the front of the diaper to the appropriate setting.
Once you have adjusted the rise, you can leave it snapped down even after it is soiled, in the washer and the dryer too no need to reset it each time.
Next, add an insert by sliding your chosen insert into the pocket right to the bottom and line it up so it sits smoothly in the diaper.
On newborn babies and babies/toddlers needing a smaller waist size, snap the left tab (right when the baby is facing you) first. If you don't need the crossover tabs, you can start with either side. Snap the right tab (left facing you) and you are finished.
